Taghazout is a coastal village in Morocco, located about 19 km north of Agadir, as we have already indicated in a previous post about Agadir and as we have explained in the section dedicated to sport in Morocco, surfing is an increasingly popular activity.
Especially in the southern part of the Atlantic coast. In the small fishing community of the city, for example, surfing has become one of its main economic engines.!
In this article we will tell you more details about what you will find here, the places where you can move and useful information for your trip to this place.
Taghazout and its surf are characterized by offering straight, long, clean and perfect waves, in a multitude of peaks. Sometimes, more than 500 meters! The prevailing wind is north and northeast, and it is advisable to pay attention to the rocks, since in some places they are very present.
Taghazout is very close to Agadir, about 15 kilometers to the north, so we have already mentioned its most famous places in the post dedicated to this Moroccan city. However, there are many more that are worth knowing.
Imsouane: easy access, has parking. Its capacity is about 40 corridors. It is suitable for all levels because at the end of the wave there is the so-called ‘The Bay’, very tense and easy, ideal for schools and beginners
La Source: is a fairly exposed reef wave, with a capacity of about 10 or 20 corridors. Its difficulty is medium. Easy access, with parking
Mysteries: with more peaks and a capacity of 10 or 20 runners, to access it you have to walk about 5 minutes. It usually does not tolerate much sea and usually closes. Eye to the rocks at the bottom
Boilers: one of the most complicated, it is categorized high level. It works well with all tides, for its flat rocky bottom. It is very exposed to the sea. It has capacity for about 40 riders
Hash Point: The quality of the waves is usually lower, but it is a quick right easy to navigate, making it a favorite for schools. Can accommodate up to 40 passengers
One of the great advantages of Taghazout is that it has numerous surfboards. There are dozens of them between Imsouane and La Source. There are from the most basic to premium ones, which include other guest services such as yoga and adventure and sightseeing experiences.
