Chefchaouen the Blue City is one of the most iconic cities in Morocco. Hidden between the Rif Mountains, Chefchaouen was an isolated city where the refugees of Andalusia (modern-day Spain) settled back in the 15th century. One of the major characteristics of Chefchaouen is its distinct old Spanish architecture style and its blue buildings. This city gained its popularity among tourists because of its color. The entire city is painted in blue and white to match the colors of the sky and sea. Blue City is also a great place to do shopping if you want to buy some traditional handicrafts. The Medina o Chefchaouen has many shops and Bazaars. Surely a city that Morocco Travel Land advices you to visit.
